Controlling Clients and Print Servers

The CardExchange® Dispatcher is a console-like application. It can receive print commands from the CardExchange® Client and distribute the jobs over one or more Printer Servers. When a print job is received, the Dispatcher will check whether there is a idle Print Server available. If so, the job will be send to that Print Server, if not, the Dispatcher will put the job into a waiting list and wait until one of the Print Servers become available and is ready to start a new print job.

The Dispatcher is capable to keep your priint process running. For example, you are using a CardExchange® Network Print Client to send a print job of 1000 cards to the Dispatcher. The Dispatcher is connected to 4 Print Server and everytime a Print Server becomes available, the Dispatcher will send a print job to that available printer. If one printer enters into a error like a card jam, the Dispatcher will take that job away from that printer and send it to the next available Print Server on the system

The Dispatcher is a very easy to configure application and if you want to print and/or encode over the network and you want to control multiple Clients and Print Servers, the Dispatcher is a real Value Add.
